Race preparations don't always go to plan - bike crash
4 days to race day:
So, this morning on my cycle-commute to work I had an introduction to a wall and some metal railings at a reasonably high speed.
Fortunately the wall was unhurt.
I took a bit of a bashing in the chest - and am expecting a fair bit of bruising.
The bike now has the brake/gear lever realigned/snapped on one side.
On a positive - it happened opposite a cycle shop - so I could get a diagnosis of the bike damage quickly. And it was only a 10 minute walk from work, so I didn't have to trudge too far afterwards.
My immediate concern was how much. £199 + labour. that would definitely put a dent into my finances.
Then I remembered I have specialist bike insurance and it looks like it should all be covered.
